Hardware: the mechanical and electrical components making up a computer system

Software: Computer software, or just software is a general term mainly used for digitally stored data such as computer programs and other kinds of information read and written by computers.

Promgram: Program management is the process of managing several related projects, often with the intention of improving an organization's performance. In practice and in its aims it is often closely related to Systems engineering.

Input: enter (data or a program) into a computer

Output: Output is the term denoting either an exit or changes which exit a system and which activate/modify a process. It is an abstract concept, used in the modeling, system(s) design and system(s) exploitation.

Storage: storage is a computer term form saving your data to your hard drive and you turn

processing: Processing is an open source "programming language and integrated development environment (IDE) built for the electronic arts and visual design communities" with the purpose of teaching the basics of computer programming in a visual context, and to serve as the foundation for electronic

2.  For the following computer parts, find an image to put into your page. Make sure you write the name of the part next to the image, and explain what it does (its job or function).

 - Monitor
 - Keyboard
 - Hard drive
 - Cooling fan
 - RAM
 - CPU
 - clock
 - modem
 - video card
 - sound card
 - motherboard
 - USB stick

 - DVD drive
 - CD drive
 - Floppy disk
 - Mouse
 - Printer
 - Power supply
the monitor is a useful output device. without it you wouldn't be able to see what you are doing.

the keyboard is a output system that helps you type stuff on to you computer.

the hard-drive process item. even though it isn't in the computer it is still a processing device.

the cooling fan helps the CPU stay cool and process stuff.

the RAM is a random access memory card that stores data until the computer is turned off.
the CPU is basically the core of the computer it processes commands into zeros and ones (0 & 1's)

the clock determines the computer speed and how fast the CPU processes

The modem helps the computer to connect to the internet via the phone jack

the video card processes the 0's and 1's and turns them into codes that the pixels can read.

the sound card processes the 0's and 1's but turn them into codes that go through the speakers and turns into sounds.

the motherboard looks like a city but the information runs through the circuits and to the things its meant to go to.

the USB stick is kind of like the hard-drive but stores less information.

the CD ROM helps process the information that is stored on the disk and sends it to the sound card.

the DVD ROM is like the CD but sends the information to video card aswell as the sound card.

the floppy disk is inserted into the floppy disk drive and stores information for easy access like the usb stick.

the mouse communicates with the computer tell it what way the ball rolls or the sensor goes and tells the computer the recordings.

the printer is a output device that recives information from the computer then displays it on paper.

the power supply turns the computer on and off. It has a inportant job becuse it sends power to the right places with the right power amount.

EXTENSION.... add any other parts / accessories you can find out about.

the graphics card helps the video card but produces images in a much better quality.

the joystick is to play games with mainly helicopter games becuase it is easier to play with.

the projector is a output device that projects an image on to a screen that is not a tv.
